Dallas Cowboy Stadium

Arlington, Texas

| Sports + Entertainment

Dallas Cowboy Stadium, located in Arlington, Texas, replaced the partially covered Texas Stadium which opened in 1971.  The stadium was completed on May 9, 2008 at a total cost of $1.15 billion making it one of the most expensive sports venues ever built.

In April 2006 under the management of General Contractor Manhattan Construction site excavation was initiated.  A pair of nearly 300 ft. tall arches spans the length of the stadium dome, anchored to the ground at each end.  This retractable roof was employed in order to create quick conversions of the facility to accommodate a variety of events.

From the outset, the ownership and general contractor had agreed that there would be a high priority set on limited jobsite access and job safety.  In support of this, FCB was contracted to drug screen and badge each worker.  The ID badge acted as a visual passport to the project.
